Short Reports

The Sub-Saharan African Medical Schools Study (SAMSS) is compiling full reports on the site visits to ten Sub-Saharan African medical schools taking place between May and December, 2009. The final reports are written by the site visit teams and edited by the SAMSS secretariat at The George Washington University.

The reports will be shared with the site visit hosts and the SAMSS Advisory Committee as they are made final. However, since site visits are ongoing at this time and since the reports being generated are the products of candid discussions and the free examination of information graciously provided by the host schools, the full reports will not be posted on the SAMSS web site for general distribution at this time. Given the interest that this study has generated, we would like to make some basic information available about the site visits as they happen. Therefore, we will be posting "Short Reports" on the site visits following the completion of the visits. These reports will provide a brief overview of the school visited.

Following the completion of all of the site visits and their analysis, the schools visited will be free to release the reports if they choose to do so. If they are in agreement, the reports will then be posted on the SAMSS website.
